Just the other day, I caught myself singing “Baby, It’s Cold Outside”. I suppose it’s the newfound bite in the wind, the chill in the air that prompted Christmas to sneak in my vibes.

Unless you want to be stuck all season with only a few pairs of jeans to keep you stylish, you have to start getting creative in your wardrobe choices. First, don’t pack your assortment of skirts in a box yet, particularly that gorgeous mini number. You can still wear it outside without freezing to death.

I culled blogger outfits featuring cute skirts to replenish your creativity. Be inspired with their outfits:

1. Featuring Natasha from London

Natasha

Natasha’s look reminds me so much of British model Jourdan Dunn. It has a model off-duty vibe to it. Chunky sweaters work so well with pleated or A-line mini skirts. This gorgeous London-based blogger wore a pair of black tights to cover her mile-long legs and capped off the look with a leather baseball cap, a clutch and a pair of platform sandals. You can replace the sandals with ankle boots if you need more foot cover-up.

2. Featuring Apple from Tatarstan

Apple

This proves that you can bundle yourself up and still look fabulous. Style blogger Apple pulled out her white pleated skirt and wore it with an untucked cable-knitted sweater. She armed herself more with a pair of navy tights that matched her sweater, a pair of grey ankle boots and a coat slung over her shoulders. If this isn’t chic enough for you, I don’t know what is.

3. Featuring Michele from Switzerland

Michele

Play with textures if you are going for an all-black look. Switzerland-based blogger, Michele, wore a black embossed skirt with a wrapped structure that is all the rage these days. The skirt may be short but it looks thick enough to provide some protection against the cold. She wore it with an oversized button down top and a leather jacket. You can also wear a pair of black tights if you think it’s too cold to bare your gams.

4. Featuring Kat from Brooklyn

Kat

Thigh-high or knee-high socks are your best friends if you don’t want to repeatedly wear tights. Style it up like blogger Kat, who made this look appropriate for Brooklyn weather, with a pair of lace up boots, a scarf and a long blazer draped over her shoulders.

5. Featuring Genesis from Mexico

Genesis

It’s the season to indulge in preppy outfits! You can’t go wrong with the myriad of layering options available to you. Style blogger and architect, Genesis, went the preppy route. She styled her flared skirt with a white button down peeking under hear navy blue sweater. The best part? She wore killer thigh-high boots to keep her warm.

6. Featuring Bethany from North Carolina

Bethany

Plain, flounce skirts are easy to style. Not only are they flattering, they are also like blank canvasses. You can throw in wildcard pieces like Bethany’s leopard-printed blazer. The contrast of the print against the plain color is very striking. You can keep yourself warm by wearing a pair of thick tights, a sweater and a pair of closed shoes.

I highly recommend copying these outfits if you are running low on ideas on how to make your skirts work in the next few months.

Also, arm yourself with these new season skirts to get that cold weather-perfect look:
